Basic Seminar

- The Essentials of Inductive Bible Study Method

This is offered on a 2.5 hr condensed seminar

 

Advance Level

There are 7 seminars in this Advance Level with the prerequisite of the Basic level

- Using Reference Tools to Enhance Inductive Bible Study (2 hours)
- How to Study Old Testament Narrative/History (2.5 hours)
- How to Study Old Testament Wisdom Literature and Poetry (2.5 hours)
- How to Study Old Testament Prophets/Prophecy (2.5 hours)
- How to Study New Testament Narrative/History (Gospels & Acts) (2.5 hours)
- How to Study New Testament Letters (Pauline & General) (2.5 hours)
- How to Study New Testament Prophecy (Revelation) (2 hours)

Participants can start attending any advance seminar once completed the Basic Condensed Seminar.

Participants get a certificate upon completion of both Basic & Advance Seminars.

Higher Certificate Course

The Higher Certificate Course comprises of four lessons (2 hrs each lesson), with the prerequisite of the IBSM Certificate.

Week One
Review of inductive method; comparing and contrasting with deductive and other Bible study methods using specific Scriptural examples

Week Two
Observing and determining relevant details; grammar points; adverbs; movement; verb tenses; conjunctions

Week Three
Using survey charts, analytical charts and maps to enhance observation and understanding

Week Four
Using reference tools to interpret and bridge the historical and cultural gaps between 21st Century Hong Kong and the ancient Middle East

Participants must attend all 4 lessons in order to receive the higher certificate.
